The Muddi class is named after the Dharug word for "Younger Child". We celebrate the energy, curiosity, strong sense of self and emerging autonomy of toddlers. Our interest-based program nurtures each child’s natural desire to explore, discover, and engage with the world around them.
We have created a supportive and organic environment where children feel empowered to make choices, build relationships, and develop essential life skills. By encouraging independence, resilience, and problem-solving through play, we set the foundation for lifelong learning and personal growth.
To ensure every child’s needs are met, we design our curriculum around their unique interests and developmental milestones. Daily routines, rituals and transitions are thoughtfully paced to foster security, a sense of belonging, and confidence. Small group settings provide opportunities for tailored learning experiences that cater to different ages and abilities within the class.
Our Teachers and Educators actively involve families, using insights about each child’s home life and culture to create meaningful learning experiences. The Muddi class also incorporates time in the edible garden where children spend time, planting, digging and harvesting food for our kitchen. The children actively explore the natural world, build a connection to the land, and experience the joy of outdoor learning.
